State of the State Address

Members of the Board for the Huntington Township Chamber of Commerce traveled to Albany to represent the Chamber at the recent “State of the State” address. The Chamber attended the event to interact with the Legislature and its members and to represent Chamber members’ interests regarding legislative priorities and positions as it relates to the local business community and the economy. The Chamber delegates attended discussions, evening receptions and scheduled meetings with elected officials in order to drive positive change for Huntington’s business environment and to improve the local business climate by providing leadership, advocacy, communication and support with government. “It was a great opportunity for us to interact and communicate with our elected officials and to let them know the tremendous importance and impact their actions will have on local business,” explained Bob Bontempi, Executive Board Member of the Huntington Township Chamber of the Commerce. “We feel it is important for us to continue to build these strategic relationships, develop business solutions and increase local opportunities for businesses within our community during these challenging economic times,” he continued.
