The City of New York is offering reduced penalties and interest for certain violations issued by various City agencies including the Department of Buildings. In order to be eligible, the violations must have been reduced to a judgment, must not have been criminal in nature and cannot exceed $25,000. This is a good opportunity for building owners and developers looking to clean up old violations to potentially remove the violations at a reduced cost.
